Ms Leighann Doan Reimer

Leighann Doan Reimer played basketball at W.E. Hay High School in Stettler, AB, going on to participate in the 1993 Alberta Summer Games and 1997 Canada Summer Games. She played five years for the U of C Dinos, where she was named 1997 Canadian Rookie of the year; 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001 All-Canadian; and 2000 and 2001 Canadian Player of the Year. She is current record holder for All-Time Leading Scorer for the U of C and the 2001 Howard Mackie Award Winner (Canadian University Female Athlete of the Year). She was a member of the 1999 and 2001 Canadian Student National Teams, as well as a member of the 2002 and 2003 Canadian National Teams. She carried the torch for the 2001 World University Games in China, competed in the 2003 Pan Am Games and Olympic Qualifications, and played professionally in France from 2001-2004.
