Former Edmonton Coach and City Councillor Passes Away at 78

With a heavy heart we share the news of Bryan Anderson’s passing.

Bryan was a dedicated coach and advocate for high school sport. Beyond his career as a high school teacher and coach, Bryan was a city councillor for 19 years and and was responsible for helping ensure the development of many new sport facilities across Edmonton. His contributions are countless and the impact he’s had on the lives of student athletes is immeasurable.

In 2010, Bryan was inducted into the ASAA High School Sports Hall of Fame as a coach. To read about Bryan’s nomination, please click here.

We would like to offer our condolences to Bryan’s family and friends. Rest in peace Bryan Anderson, and thank-you for countless contributions to the lives of the athletes and coaches in our province.
