Happy New Year and Welcome to 2018! Here are the important deadlines and reminders that all schools should note:

January 15 = Deadline to Opt-up in Basketball
January 22 = Deadline to register teams in Cheerleading, Curling and Wrestling
February 1 = Deadline to submit nominations for the Alberta High School Sports Hall of Fame and Routledge Award
February 8 = Deadline to add students to your school team in the sports of Basketball, Cheerleading, Curling and Wrestling

On behalf of Kainai High School and the larger community of Kainai, we’d like to welcome you to Blackfoot Country! We are honored to host, for the first time in history, the 2018 Provincial Girls 2A Basketball Tournament.
Kainai is part of the larger Blackfoot Confederacy whose traditional territory spans North to the North Saskatchewan River, South to the Yellowstone River, West to the Rocky Mountains and East to the Cypress Hills. So, in essence, your journey to KHS took you right through the heart of Blackfoot Country.
