2016 Volleyball Wildcard Allocations

According to policy Volleyball wildcards are allocated based on zones’ results at the previous three provincial championships, with the first place team getting 4 points, second place getting 3, third getting 4, and fourth getting 1. Based on results from 2013-15 the volleyball wildcard allocations are as follows:

Unified Bocce - Event Info and Registration

Welcome to the first ever season of Unified Bocce in Alberta!

Two Unified Bocce events will take place this school year: one in Edmonton and one in Calgary.

ASAA New Registration How-To Webinars

ASAA is pleased to announce the new registration system, SRS is now LIVE! This system has replaced Exnet for registering students, transfers and appeals website and the ranking system. All will now be integrated within the Sport Registration System.

Notice of Motion Deadline for APM

All items under Policy may be amended by a majority vote of the provincial Board of Governors. Proposed amendments must be submitted, in writing, to the ASAA office by April 1. Proposed amendments of an emergent nature to be considered at the Annual Planning Meeting, must be submitted, in writing, to the ASAA office by September 1. The amendments to be considered will be posted on the ASAA website and available to all member schools at least three weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting.

The Worlds Athletic (WA) rule book is to be used to govern ASAA events with the following exception:

The ASAA will allow one (1) false start. The first infraction will be charged to the field, with the second resulting in the disqualification of the athlete and/or team.

Rural Wrestling

Rules

The rules shall be those of the Wrestling Canada Lutte (WCL) with the exceptions being those specifically adopted by the ASAA:
All wrestlers competing in an ASAA sanctioned event have the option of wearing a mouth guard or not. If during competition the mouth guard comes out, it may be replaced at an appropriate time at the official’s discretion.
